Am I to Old to Learn - Programming - Smart Phones?

Nothing can stop you if you really want to do it! Most phones (smart or not) run on Java, that is, a simpler version of it called J2ME. Java is a pain for beginners, so try to learn BASIC, then C Plus Plus, then Java. Note that Java and J2ME are the same language, but J2ME uses different functions than Java (e.g. no System.out.println()) and is A BIT more complex. But nevertheless, not impossible! Some Nokia phones run J2ME and Symbian, so try Symbian, too, but Symbian's foreign for me. Good luck!
